Kyra & Austin

We've seen a surge in Holiday engagements this year so seems like the perfect week for these beautiful photos from some great customers nice enough to share them with us.

' I hope you and everyone at Rebekah Brooks are enjoying this holiday season. I just wanted to send along a couple wedding photos that feature the gorgeous jewelry you helped us select for our big day. We could not be happier with how our rings and my necklace/earring set turned out--they complimented our entire theme perfectly!! '

September Wedding

Hard to imagine a more picturesque scene than a newlywed's stroll across the Bridge of Flowers in Shelburne, Mass. This lovely couple was married in September & the bride was generous enough to provide this note along with the pictures : ' We purchased my engagement ring in your Noho store (the blue topaz in antique setting) in August 2013 (I had my eye on it for months before), and we also purchased the dot ring for my wedding band.  I wore a pair of your pearls on the big day as well.  I love your jewelry!'. We are honored! Big thanks to them both for letting us share this.

June Wedding

There's nothing like a Summer wedding. The world is lush, the air scented with flowers in bloom & (hopefully) the sun is shining. This beautiful bride, a wonderful client of ours, generously sent these pictures of her special day. In addition to making her ring we also made the lovely Silver & Pearl necklace that compliments her dress so nicely. Wishing them a lifetime of health & happiness!

Beautiful Mabe Pearl Ring

This lovely ring is one of the nicest examples of a Mabe Pearl we've come across. Mabe pearls are semi-spherical cultured pearls. Instead of growing inside the body of the oyster, these pearls grow against the inside of the shell. This process causes Mabe pearls to have a flat side, as opposed to being relatively spherical like standard pearls. The unique nacre of the Mabe oyster allows for hues that are quite brilliant and rainbow-like which this pearl has in spades. This type of color is what brings the value to Mabe pearls in addition to their superiority in texture and luster. Add to all that the elevated scroll work of this ring & you've got something quite special.

Studio

Yesterday while we were busy working on a bunch of new Fall styles to wrap up for photographing before they can head to the stores, our production manager Becky showed me some of the impromptu images she's taken with her phone of 'production-in-progress'. I really loved these & asked her if we could share some of them on the blog - and here they are! Though the finished jewelry looks perfectly put together there is alot of work, time & skill that goes into crafting our lovely adornments.

* handmade circles being soldered on the fire brick

* in-progress weave of a white pearl & lattice bracelet

* handmade castings fresh out of the tumbler

* gem pastel topaz necklace in the sunlight

* silver bead & pearl segments for a bundle necklace

                                            * just finished special order vine necklace with sapphires

Antiques, Day 4

Here we have an extremely fine Victorian Seed Pearl Necklet in it's original leather bound case. The graduated Pearls are natural with an incredible luster. It measures 16" and we're just in the process of re-stringing it. This is a really delicate & elegant alternative to your typical string of Pearls, a beauty.
