New Antiques!
Some gorgeous new finds coming in to the shops. A quick shot below to whet the appetite - among them, a Victorian bone shield necklace, a beautiful sapphire & pearl Art Deco cluster ring, handmade 18k flower post earrings with little diamond centers and of course an amazing rare 18k Essex Crystal handpainted 'Aude, Vide, Tace' ring with an all seeing eye! Ring dates to 1896 and bears the masonic motto meaning 'know, dare, be silent' (to live in peace).

Victorian Lockets
Beginning in the mid to late 19th Century, the locket was one of the most popular items of jewelry. Wearers of lockets would put photos or even locks of hair of loved ones inside. During the Victorian and Edwardian periods, it was very common for lockets to have intricate monogrammed initials of the owner inscribed on the back. Some have a small diamond in the center, with an incised starburst pattern surrounding it, adding a beautiful sparkle. We are so fond of these lockets that we try to keep one on hand at the store at all times!
