Winter Engagement

A couple of great customers from our Cambridge store who were nice enough to share some photos. We made & engraved a ring for them then strung it on a chain - seems to suit them perfectly. In their own words: 'As a man trying to buy an engagement memento for another man, I was pretty much at a loss. I wanted something traditional yet contemporary. Something special but not flashy. Something simple but not boring. I didn't know if I should get a ring or a necklace or a pendant or something totally different. September Wedding

These images come as close to 'picture perfect' as just about any. On a beautiful September day in Whately, Mass this lovely couple came together with their friends & family for what surely was a day they will not soon forget. We were fortunate enough to make the bride's earrings along with all of the bridesmaids jewelry. Everyone looks gorgeous & the setting compliments their style so well. Rebekah's Hands

Yesterday Rebekah had asked me to look thru her phone for a picture of a ring she was sending to a client. In her myriad pictures of jewelry I was able to find it, but along the way was struck by all the pictures of her hands adorned with rings & jewelry she's made & bought for the shops. With her permission I collected some of these below to share. They're just casual shots of her hands from the last few months - often with rings stacked - but they showcase some incredible pieces and illuminate her scrupulous & passionate eye towards beauty.

 

 

 

 

 

Holiday Web Orders & Delivery

Tis' the season - things are very busy in the studio. We're making jewelry & filling special orders like caffeinated elves! Our normal turnaround time for online orders is 7-14 days, with the Holidays upon us we're making exceptions. Web orders will be taken for delivery on the 24th up until Dec. 22nd. Antique Engagement Rings

It's been awhile since we've featured diamond engagement rings on the blog but as we're coming in to the height of our season, seemed like a good time to share some of these beauties. The two below came in last week - perfect examples of the singular quality these rings offer. The one at top is quite special with incredible white gold filigree work & a perfectly low profile set off by brilliant antique diamonds. The ring at bottom is more classic but no less stunning, sparkling diamonds with a large solitaire set in gorgeously detailed & engraved platinum - wow.

 

 

12 Days of Gifts, Day 4

What could be better than a holiday proposal?! And with this ring you could not go wrong. The show-stopper of our Northampton case - this incredible beauty has a center 1.35ct Old European cut diamond circa late 1800's, accented with other small diamonds on the sides. The platinum setting is early Art Deco with a wheat pattern intricately engraved on the sides as well as on the setting, and accents of milgrain throughout the entire piece. The engraving is in exquisite condition with little signs of age and wear. The diamond specs: K color, SI1 clarity, 1.5tcw, Old European Cut. This would make the perfect gift.

Here we have another antique beauty. This from the turn of the last century in England featuring a gorgeous mine cut .25 c diamond. The mixed metal of yellow Gold with a Platinum top complements the stone beautifully. With some really nice milgrain work on the band, this one's a total classic.
